Poziv za projekte ambasade Velike Britanije
The British Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina is issuing a call for proposals under its Conflict Prevention Programme 2012-2015.
Context
Conflict prevention funding in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region is focused on the following key areas:
- Good governance and institutional capacity building;
- Rule of law;
- Security;
- Reconciliation.
Areas of Intervention
Under this call, project proposals addressing the following areas would be welcome:
- Creating a sustainable justice sectorwith an effective and engaged civil society, supporting the implementation of recommendations developed as a part of the JSRS monitoring activities or to effectively contribute to policy formulation in the justice sector.
- Projects that address issues relevant to Constitutional reform and other EU priorities.
Examples could include (but are not restricted to) projects which seek to develop:
- Strengthened advocacy, lobbying and oversight capacities of civil society organizations;
- Effective and productive communication between the State court/State Prosecutor’s office and civil society organizations.
- Create a more empowered and politically effective/ engaged civil society able to hold the BiH government and institutions to account.
- Empowering local organisations to address the deeper drivers of conflict and counter ethnic prejudice among BiH youth (ages 17/18 – 30) by providing them with the skills to exercise their role as citizens in a secular multi-ethnic democratic society.
Examples could include (but are not restricted to) projects which seek to develop:
- Cross-entity mobility of youth and the establishment of sustainable relationships by developing initiatives appropriate to the local context, promoting positive interaction, dialogue and reconciliation.
- Key stakeholders in targeted communities (including teachers, parents, youth organisations, municipal officials etc.) to enable them to have the skills and knowledge to address deeper drivers of conflict within their communities.
Concept bids will be appraised by the Programme Committee at the British Embassy in Sarajevo and the CP Programme Team. Project proposals should be a minimum of £20,000 and maximum of £30,000 per financial year. Multi-annual proposals are welcome but will be subject to annual review before subsequent years’ funding is approved.
Deadline for submission: 18th June 2012.
