This contact-making seminar will explore the concept of minorities (ethnic, religious, linguistic, etc.), celebrating diversity in YiA projects and give the participants a space to develop Youth Exchanges on the topic of Cultural Diversity.

AIM:
The aim of the CMS is to establish partnerships for Youth Exchanges involving young people with a cultural minority background.

OBJECTIVES:
• Developing new youth exchange projects within the YiA programme involving young people belonging to a cultural minority group and/or aiming cultural diversity
• Exchange of previous experience and good practice among participants
• Better understanding of the eligibility and quality critera of Youth Exchanges among participants
• Promoting innovation in YiA projects
• Supporting the permanent priority of the Youth in Action programme – cultural diversity with its different aspects

Target group:
• youth workers or representatives of informal groups of young people that have a mandate to enter into a partnership with other organisations/groups
• representatives of a cultural minority or working with young people belonging to a cultural minority group
• willing to develop and implement a Youth Exchange involving youngsters belonging to a cultural minority group
• able to communicate and work in English
• 18 or older
